New Premium Rush movie list

New movie list Premium Rush

Dodging speeding cars, crazed cabbies, open doors, and eight million cranky pedestrians is all in a day's work for Wilee (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), the best of New York's agile and aggressive bicycle messengers. It takes a special breed to ride the fixie - super lightweight, single-gear bikes with no brakes and riders who are equal part skilled cyclists and suicidal nutcases who risk becoming a smear on the pavement every time they head into traffic. But a guy who's used to putting his life on the line is about to get more than even he is used to when a routine delivery turns into a life or death chase through the streets of Manhattan. When Wilee picks up his last envelope of the day on a premium rush run, he discovers this package is different. This time, someone is actually trying to kill him. -- (C) Sony

Review For Premium Rush

The whole film sizzles with urban aggression.
Bruce Diones-New Yorker

Premium Rush isn't mindless mayhem, a thriller for teenage boys bursting with hormonal bloodlust. Koepp's film has a brain...
Kathleen Murphy-MSN Movies

The movie speeds along crisply, providing just enough exposition to lend a few pounds of emotional weight without bogging down the breakneck pace.
James Berardinelli-ReelViews

I do have an abiding fondness for compact and coherent action movies, and this is surely one.
Nick Pinkerton-Village Voice

Throwing "premium" into the title may be overselling such a trifling entertainment. But for the cinematically discounted days of late summer, it's a perfectly diverting little ride.
Christopher Orr-The Atlantic

Premium Rush earns its place as end-of-the-summer escapism, but I can't say that it's more than a well-done formula flick.
Owen Gleiberman-Entertainment Weekly

David Koepp's Premium Rush is an energetic and creative way to kill an hour and a half without feeling like a complete waste of time.
Jeremy Lebens-We Got This Covered

A spry, inventive antidote to American blockbuster bloat.
Chuck Bowen-Slant Magazine

This comedy-leavened action flick somehow manages to make the spandex-clad world of NYC bike couriers seem as intense as a Bond movie.
Phil Villarreal-OK! Magazine

The kind of low-expectation late-summer film that can all too often fall under the radar but delivers more honestly and forcefully than most of its warm-weather predecessors.
Rob Gonsalves-eFilmCritic.com

I expected "Premium Rush" would be an exciting film, but I didn't think it would be so much fun to watch. It has plenty of thrills, laughs and a plot that is more complicated and interesting than I thought it would be.
Robert Roten-Laramie Movie Scope

Maybe the plot's a little thin, but this is end of summer escapism at its best and it guarantees you'll never look at a biker in NYC the same way again.
Bruce Bennett-Spectrum (St. George, Utah)

Eye-popping practical bike work should provide interested viewers with a middle-of-the-road rush that's a bit short of 'premium.'
Ben Kendrick-ScreenRant

... a lightning-paced, hyper-adrenalized entertainment.
Jim Lane-Sacramento News & Review

There is also a romance and scenes of what may or may not be human trafficking but unless the action is happening on the back of a Schwinn it pretty much is only hinted at on screen.
Michael A. Smith-MediaMikes

Even though we see more of New York at street level than you'd ever expect in one thriller, this film is hit by one puncture after another.
Graham Young-Birmingham Post

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an immensely likable hero and the stunt work is astonishing.
Philip French-Observer [UK]

This is about the bike, the road and the compulsion to go, go, go.
Henry Barnes-Guardian [UK]

The film is one snappy, fast-paced chase through the streets of Manhattan. Never mind the logic, feel the breeze.
Allan Hunter-Daily Express

A least one reviewer cycled home from the screening in a state of uncharacteristic nervousness.
Donald Clarke-Irish Times

[A] slyly structured, pseudo-real-time carnival ride ripples with undercurrents of moral complexity... Joseph Gordon-Levitt... is effortlessly cool and engaging onscreen, always.
MaryAnn Johanson-Flick Filosopher

The chases are well done and Gordon-Levitt is a solid lead but the film gives him little to do other than ride.
Alex Zane-Sun Online

A VHS classic from another age, but times have changed.
Matt Bochenski-Little White Lies

Simple but fun.
Nigel Andrews-Financial Times

Fast, furious and infuriating.
Christopher Tookey-Daily Mail [UK]

For all its attempts at originality, Premium Rush is, at its heart, generic
Jonathan Lack-We Got This Covered
